PARABLE
2018
The collection is inspired by shadow puppetry of Andhra Pradesh (a southern Indian state) called 'Tholubommalata'.
The clothes embody the spirit of story telling, the play of lines and layers of the silhouette, the masterful usage of lights and shadows.
The garments are made from chitrika fabric, handwoven by the women in mandipet, east godavari district, lightest jamdani from west bengal and short staple khadi from Rajasthan. The patterns are a play of the traditional attire "Kediya".
